HEBRON (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian man was shot in the stomach during clashes south of Hebron on Saturday night, locals told Ma'an.

A military patrol entered the town of Dura, sparking clashes with local youth, they said.

Israeli forces used tear gas and live fire against residents, according to witnesses.

Shadi Salameh al-Masharqa, 22, was hit by a live bullet in his abdomen and underwent surgery in Hebron government hospital, locals said.

An Israeli military spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
