JENIN (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 12 Palestinians overnight Sunday across the West Bank, locals and the army said.
Eight Palestinians were detained in Qalqiliya village Azzun, they said. Locals officials said soldiers searched 32 homes before the arrests.
The identified the detainees as Ashraf Odwan, 25, Mohammad Nassar, 27, Mohammad Badran, 18, Mohammad Odwan, 25, Mohammad Rabi, 32, Amer Zahbour, 30, Adli Majd, 37, and Mohammad Kharfan, 23.
An Israeli army spokesman said in addition to the detentions in Azzun, forces detained two people in Ramallah-district camp Jalazun and another in Birzeit.
Forces also raided the home of imprisoned Islamic Jihad leader Bassam al-Saadi in Jenin, and detained his 50-year-old wife Nawal,relatives told Ma'an.
The arrest came shortly after al-Saadi's administrative detention was renewed by Israeli authorities, relatives said. An Israeli army spokeswoman said a woman in Jenin had been detained by Israeli border police.
Near Bethlehem, Israeli forces detained four Palestinian youth from Beit Fajjar on a nearby road. Locals identified the detainees as Abed Takatqa, 17, Shadi Taqatqa, 18, Omar Taqatqa, 16, and Mohammad Taqatqa, 18. The army did not have a record of the arrests.
On Sunday evening, forces detained Ibrahim Gamal Zaqzaq, 20, in Zabuba village northwest of Jenin, locals said. They said the army had detonated a suspicious package near the Israeli fence in the border area.
The army did not have a record of the incident, but said three firebombs were thrown overnight at Israeli civilian vehicles near Hebron town Surif, and forces were searching for suspects.

Army Kidnaps 14 Palestinians In The West Bank

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Sunday evening and on Monday at dawn, several West Bank districts, broke into dozens of homes and searched them. 14 residents were kidnapped and taken to an unknown destination.
Local sources reported that the army invaded Azzoun town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and fired dozens of flares and sound bombs before breaking into 23 homes.
The soldiers searched the homes and kidnapped eight residents, identified as Ashraf Adwan, 25; Mohammad Nassar, 27; Mohammad Badwan, 18; Mohammad Suheil Adwan, 25; Mohammad Raby, 32; Amir Dahbour, 30; Adly Majd, 37; and Mohammad Kharfan, 23.
The army claimed that the kidnapped residents hurled stones at Israeli vehicles driving on a road that only settlers may use near the village.
Soldiers also invaded Jenin city and the Jenin Refugee Camp, and broke into the home of Sheikh Bassam as-Sa’dy, the detained leader of the Islamic Jihad in the Jenin refugee camp. The army kidnapped his wife, Nawal, and one resident was also kidnapped in Jenin city.
Local sources told the Maan News Agency that at least ten military vehicles invaded the camp at approximately 4a.m. Clashes were reported in the camp as dozens of youths hurled stones at the invading soldiers, while the army fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition and flares.
Nawal was previously kidnapped and imprisoned by Israel, while her husband, Bassam, is currently under administrative detention and has spent more than a total of 10 years in Israeli prisons.
