12:00 Oct 16 2012 Bethlehem

Description
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Tuesday detained a 27-year-old former prisoner at a checkpoint near Bethlehem, a local official said.

Muhammad Suleibi was detained on his way to Ofer military court in Ramallah to attend a court hearing for his 16-year-old brother, Ahmad, who has been detained for seven months, said Muhammad Awad, a spokesman for Beit Ummar popular committee.

Suleibi, from Beit Ummar, has spent two years in Israeli jail and was released in Oct. 2011 in the prisoner swap deal between Israel and Hamas.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said she had no record of an arrest in the area.
