Description
NABLUS, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) closed entrances to Iraq Burin village, south of Nablus city, on Saturday and tightened security measures at roadblocks in the vicinity of the village.
Abdul Rahim Qadus, the municipality chief, told the PIC on the phone that the soldiers refused to allow entry to the village of non-residents.
He pointed out that the measure has turned into a weekly one to block the media and foreign activists from taking part and documenting the village’s weekly protest against settlement activity and land confiscation.
An inhabitant in the village said that the IOF measure would only boost their determination to go ahead in their protest rallies and marches.
In a separate development, Israeli police arrested a blind Palestinian Jerusalemite boy on Friday evening in the Tur neighborhood along with three other minors after claiming they were sabotaging Jewish graves!
The mother of Abdullah Abulhawa, 17, said that the policemen beat up her son and his brothers before taking him away to Maskobeh detention center.
