Description
BETHLEHEM, August 13, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli bulldozers Monday razed agricultural land and demolished a water well used for agricultural purposes in al-Khader, a town south of Bethlehem, according to a local activist.
Ahmad Salah, coordinator of the popular committee against settlements in al-Khader, said bulldozers protected by Israeli soldiers razed around five dunums of land, uprooted and seized olive trees and demolished a well used for collecting rainwater for local farmers to use to irrigate their land.
He said the Israeli policy behind this is to force local farmers to abandon their land in order to seize it and build settlement projects on it.
