Description
BETHLEHEM, August 5, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday expanded the outer borders of Navi Daniel illegal outpost near the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, according to coordinator of the National Committee against the Apartheid Wall in al-Khader, Ahmad Salah.
He told WAFA that Israeli soldiers moved the military checkpoint on the entrance of the outpost 400 meters forward, thus effectively isolating around 300 dunums of Palestinian private land, whose owners will not be allowed in without Israeli permits.
Israeli settlers recently escalated their attacks on the land surrounding the outpost, including razing land, taking over vast property by force, and demolishing water wells, said Salah.
He urged Palestinian official institutions and human rights organization to immediately intervene and stop the theft of Palestinian land, especially that it is the harvest season.
