GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Security services in the West Bank released a member of Islamic Jihad in Tulkarem, Loay al-Ashkar al-Mahsoob, after he launched a hunger strike in protest of his detention, the movement said.

The movement said in a statement that the Palestinian Authority freed al-Mashoob after he began a three-day hunger strike. He is a prominent solidarity activist in Saida, near Tulkarem, the statement said.
