Description
Al-KHALIL, (PIC)-- The IOF arrested on Thursday, Mohamed Barakat al-Atrash from the city of al-Khalil south of the occupied West Bank, after less than a day from his release from the prisons of PA's intelligence.
Al Atrash's mother told PIC that the occupation soldiers stormed in the early morning hours their house in order to arrest ex-prisoner Mohammed al-Atrash. However, he was not at home as he was hospitalized in the government hospital for medical treatment due to deterioration in his health condition because of the hunger strike he had waged for over three weeks to demand his release, after two years of political detention in PA prisons.
The mother added that the Zionist intelligence officer demanded that Muhammad present himself at the headquarters of the Zionist intelligence, otherwise he would be considered as a fugitive and wanted for the Zionist Shin Bet.
The PA's intelligence services had released Al Atrash three days ago following the agreement that took place between the representatives of the detainees and the dignitaries of clans from the city of al-Khalil, and which requires the release of hunger striking prisoners, and after serving two years in the prisons of PA intelligence in Jericho.
Mohammad al-Atrash (26 years) is a liberated prisoner from the occupation's jails where he had been held for 14 months, and was also arrested by PA's intelligence on September 1, 2010 following Bani Naim's operation of August 2010.
It is noted that the IOF had also arrested the liberated prisoner from PA's prisons, Osman Qawasmeh, only 12 hours before arresting al-Atrash.
