BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) --A Palestinian detainees center said Thursday that Israeli authorities released lawmakers Mahmud al-Ramahi, a legislative council secretary, and Nizar Ramadan from Hebron.

The men were behind bars for 1.5 years without charge, the Palestinian Center for Defending the Detainees said in a statement.

Palestinian activist Thamer Saba’na said that while Israel freed seven lawmakers in the past few days, 20 are still detained including the parliament speaker, Aziz Dweik.
