HEBRON -- Israeli forces briefly detained three people in the Old City of Hebron on Tuesday during a tour of the city, a relative of one of the detainees told Ma'an.

The Palestinian and two Americans were detained on Shuhada Street, which has been off limits to Palestinians since Israeli forces imposed a closure for nearby settlers.

A cousin of one of the detainees said they were taken into Kiryat Arba settlement before being released.

An Israeli security official confirmed that three people were taken into custody by Israeli police.
