JENIN (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained six Palestinians in the southern West Bank overnight Tuesday, a military spokeswoman said, while locals reported raids in northern villages.
Witnesses said Israeli forces detained Abed Al Rahman Mahmud Sbeih in Kafr Rai, near Jenin late Tuesday.
Forces raided the home of freed prisoner Ibrahim Nawahda in al-Yamun, also near Jenin, and interrogated him on site, they said.
In nearby Silat al-Harithiya village forces took Mohammad Barakar Zayood, and Mohammad Jameel Tahayneh from their homes and interrogated them for several hours at the Bartaa military checkpoint, before releasing them, locals said.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said the army was not involved in arrests in the north, but detained three Palestinians in Hebron, one in nearby village Beit Kahil and another two people in Bethlehem-village Tequ.

RAMALLAH, June 27, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday arrested five Palestinians from across the West Bank, according to local and security sources.
They said an Israeli force stormed the village of Taqou, east of Bethlehem, and arrested a 16-year-old Palestinian after raiding his family home.
Forces also arrested a 22-year-old from Kufr Rai, a village southwest of Jenin, while he was crossing a military checkpoint near Bir Al-Basha village south of Jenin.
Forces also stormed the towns of al-Yamoon and al-Sila al-Harthiya, also in the Jenin area, raiding several houses, including the house of ex-detainee Ibrahim Nawahdeh, who was interrogated for several hours.
The sources said Israeli forces arrested three Palestinians age 24, 28, and 36 from the southern West Bank city of Hebron after raiding and searching their homes.
Meanwhile, forces set up two military checkpoints south and north of the Hebron area, checking identity cards and searching Palestinian vehicles.
