Two Young Men Attacked in Jerusalem and Near Hebron

The Palestinian News Network reported that on Tuesday afternoon an undercover Israeli Security force attacked a young man from the town of Issawiya in Jerusalem and arrested him. In a second incident Israeli soldiers beat another young man in Beit Ommar near Hebron. They arrested and later released him.

The French News Agency (AFP) showed pictures of the young Palestinian man bleeding from the attack which occured during the confrontations which took place in Issawiya during the demonstrations to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba.

In a separate incident in Beit Ommar, north of Hebron, Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinian Ahmidan Abu Marais, 17 years old, and beat him severely.

A spokesman for the National Committee Against the Wall and Settlements, Yousef Abu Marais, said that “The soldiers beat Ahmidan while he was harvesting the family land, and arrested him because they said he was near a military tower. They kept him for two hours before they released him."
