Israeli forces abducted at least 28 Palestinians on Thursday during a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank. The operations included breaking into and searching homes and installing military roadblocks.

Separately, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked a community east of Ramallah in the central West Bank and released livestock onto Palestinian agricultural land between Silwan and Yabrud.

In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the area near the Traffic Directorate in the city and abducted brothers Miqdad and Muthanna Al-Qawasmi.

They also abducted Ahmad Mahmoud Ziadat from Bani Naim, east of Hebron, Firas Jamil Al-Zagharna from Ath-Thaheriya, and Samir Mohammad Buhays from Yatta. According to local sources, the five were abducted after soldiers broke into their homes, searched the properties, and ransacked their contents.

In Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted seven Palestinians, including two journalists, during overnight invasions.

Those abducted were identified as journalists Sabri Jibril, 38, and Muath Amarna, along with Rami Al-Amour from Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, Ahmad Hamad from Dheisheh refugee camp, Omar Al-Hreimi, Muhyiddin Souman, and Qussai Nawawra. All were abducted after soldiers broke into and searched their homes.

Israeli forces also invaded the town of Tuqu’ before dawn, establishing a military roadblock in its center. During the invasion, soldiers pursued young men through residential neighborhoods and fired sound bombs, leading to confrontations with local residents.

The soldiers abducted Rami Essam Al-Amour, 24, who was included among the seven Palestinians abducted in the Bethlehem governorate and took him to an undisclosed location. The forces remained heavily deployed in the area for approximately two hours before withdrawing through the town’s western entrance.

Elsewhere in the Bethlehem governorate, Israeli forces invaded the village of Battir, west of Bethlehem, accompanied by military bulldozers. Municipal officials expressed concern that the invasion could precede the demolition of homes.

In Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Riyad Sawafta and Abdul-Rahman Sawafta after breaking into and searching their family homes.

In Salfit in the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the towns of Kafr Haris and Qira on Thursday. Local sources said the soldiers deployed across several areas and streets in both towns, while reconnaissance drones flew overhead.

The invasions came amid an escalation in Israeli military operations and restrictions across towns and villages in the Salfit governorate.

In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted 10 Palestinians during predawn invasions of several towns and villages.

Nine of those abducted were from Burqa, northwest of Nablus: Maslama Ahmad Salah, Ali Kaid Daghlas, Usaid Amin Al-Dasouqi, Majd Murad Salah, Shadi Nasser Al-Awad, Rami Al-Arabi, Qasim Salah, Saif Eyad Saif, and Abdulrahman Saif.

Omar Ahmad Zahir, the tenth Palestinian, was abducted from Yasid, north of Nablus. Israeli forces also invaded Awarta and Beit Imrin and entered the Yasmina neighborhood in Nablus’s Old City; no abductions were reported during those invasions.

In Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Qussai Nidal Al-Masoud after breaking into his home in the town of Bal’a, east of the city.

In a separate invasion of the Rashid neighborhood in the Thannaba suburb, east of Tulkarem, soldiers broke into and searched the homes of Ahmad Qarmash and Mahmoud Abu Hish before abducting them.

In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, Israeli colonizers invaded a Palestinian land in the Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya village and began bulldozing and uprooting them.

Meanwhile, Israeli colonizers cut through a fence, invaded agricultural land in Burqa, east of Ramallah, and stole a horse, according to local reports.

In a related development, the Israeli military announced that its forces had abducted three Palestinian police officers in the occupied West Bank. The military alleged that the officers had established a security roadblock near Beitunia in the central West Bank’s Area C, where they stopped and assaulted an Israeli colonizer.

Israeli authorities described the incident as a serious breach of authority by the Palestinian security services. Area C, which comprises more than 60 percent of the occupied West Bank, remains under full Israeli military and civil control under the Oslo framework.
