Israeli forces launched a wide-scale invasion of various parts of the West Bank on Sunday morning, abducting 54 Palestinians and setting up additional checkpoints and roadblocks in several different areas.

Jerusalem:

Israeli occupation forces abducted a young Jerusalemite man from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the occupied city of Jerusalem this Sunday morning, after assaulting him. His identity is not yet known.

On Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces closed the entrances to the town of Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, and prevented movement in and out of the town.

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces were stationed on all roads leading to the town, preventing citizens’ vehicles from entering or leaving it.

This closure comes within the framework of the siege imposed by the occupation for weeks on the vicinity of the governorates of Jerusalem and Ramallah, after it installed iron gates some time ago at the entrances to several towns, including Al-Ram, in a step aimed at isolating villages and population centers from the city center.

On Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation forces closed the iron gate at the entrance to Attara, north of Ramallah, and set up a checkpoint near Nabi Saleh.

A Wafa news correspondent said that the occupation forces closed the main entrance to the Attara Gate, forcing citizens to take long routes to reach their places.

The Israeli occupation forces also set up a checkpoint near the “Halmish” settlement, located on Nabi Saleh lands, and stopped a number of vehicles, searched them, and checked the identities of their passengers, causing a severe traffic jam.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces closed the Nabi Saleh Gate last Saturday evening, along with the neighboring Aboud Gate, and fired sound and gas bombs at passing vehicles.

The entrance serves the western villages of Bani Zeid (Beit Rima, Deir Ghassana, Kafr Ain, and Qarawa), as well as the city of Salfit and some of its villages.

Ramallah:

On Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation forces set up a “flying” military checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces detained citizens’ vehicles and checked their passengers’ cards, causing a severe traffic jam.

According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission last October, the total number of permanent and temporary barriers (gates, military or earthen barriers) that divide the Palestinian territories and impose restrictions on the movement of people and goods has so far reached a total of 916 military barriers and gates, including 243 iron gates installed after October 7, 2023.

The Israeli occupation forces abducted, at dawn on Sunday, three citizens from the village of Deir Abu Mishal and Kafr Nimah in Ramallah Governorate.

Security sources reported to Wafa that the occupation forces abducted Hassan Murad Zahran from Deir Abu Mishaal in the north, and Farouk Attaya and his son Fares from Kafr Nimah in the west, after raiding and searching their homes.

Nablus:

Israeli occupation forces stormed the eastern village of Al-Laban, south of Nablus, at dawn on Sunday, and closed its main entrance.

Local sources reported that a number of citizens suffocated after the occupation forces threw gas and sound bombs at homes.

The same sources added that the occupation soldiers closed the iron gate erected at its main entrance.

The Israeli occupation forces abducted, this Sunday morning, a young man from the Old City of Nablus.

Security and local sources reported that occupation special forces stormed the Al-Yasmina neighborhood in the Old City and arrested the young man, Asaad Al-Samhan, followed by storming a number of military jeeps from the Al-Tur checkpoint, south of Nablus.

The same sources added that the occupation forces fired poison gas bombs in the vicinity of the Old City, without any casualties being reported

Israeli occupation forces abducted four citizens from the villages of Sarra and Tal, southwest of Nablus, at dawn on Sunday.

Security sources reported to Wafa that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Sarra, raided a number of homes, and abducted three citizens: Muhammad Nabil Ghanem, Yamen Khaled Turabi, and Muhammad Imad Ghanem, including an injured person, the nature of whose injury is not yet known.

The same sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces arrested citizen Muhammad Nimr Asida, after raiding and searching his house in the village of Tal.

In addition, these forces stormed Balata camp east of the city and tore up pictures of people killed by the Israeli military, without any abductions being reported.

Salfit:

Last night and at dawn on Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale raid campaign that included several towns west of Salfit Governorate, during which dozens of citizens were arrested and detained, amid an intensive deployment around the targeted areas.

Local sources reported to Wafa that the Israeli occupation forces abducted a number of citizens from the town of Qarawa Bani Hassan, including: Da’i Bahjat Assi, Issam Rayan, Abdullah Basem Mar’i, Laith Mar’i, Baraa Assi, Abdul Rahman Harb Rayan, Jumaa Rayan, Ahmed Rayan, and Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Assi, while the campaign is still ongoing.

The same sources added that these forces stormed the town of Al-Zawiya to the west and detained young men after raiding their homes, before releasing most of them later. Among the detainees were: Raafat Rashid Alian Muqdi, Ismail Saber Shuqair, Abdullah Ismail Saber Shuqair, Firas Abdul Karim Adam Youssef, Ashraf Farah Qadous, Sharif Farah Qadous, Hussein Ziad Shuqair, Yazan Amin Abu Laila, Tariq Ziad Shuqair, Shuqair Al-Khalili, Sheikh Khaled Qaddoura, Imam of Al-Siddiq Mosque, and Jaafar Khaled Qaddoura.

The occupation forces also abducted the father and brother of the late Abdul Rahman Raddad (killed by Israeli forces), the young man Qusay Rabhi Abu Nabaa, and the brothers Muhammad and Suhaib, including Ibrahim Bakr Shuqair, in addition to the citizen Abdullah Abdul Halim Shuqair and his three sons, Nazmi Ahmed Yaqoub “Al-Turk”, and the pharmacist Osama Muhammad Omar.

In the village of Masha, west of Salfit, the Israeli occupation forces detained a number of citizens, including: Moamen Jumaa Amer, Karam Khaled Amer, Qais Yasser Shalabi, Ahmed Haitham Othman Amer, Ayser Amer, Ashraf Amer, the two children Muhammad Amer and Ibrahim Amer, Zahran Ahmed Amer, and the return of Muhammad Zuhair Amer, and Muhammad Jamil Amer.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation forces had later closed the entrance to the town of Zawiya with earthen barriers, as part of the escalating military measures in the area.

Hebron:

Israeli occupation forces arrested three prisoners released from the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron, on Sunday.

Local sources told Wafa that the occupation forces stormed the town and arrested: Khalil Al-Faroukh, Awda Jaradat, and Jalal Al-Jabarin After raiding and searching their homes.

The occupation forces stationed at the closed entrance to the town of Idhna also chased citizens and their vehicles, detained the young man, Muhammad Majid Tamizi, after handcuffing him, and detained him near the military checkpoint.
