Israeli occupation forces conducted extensive invasions across the occupied West Bank early Friday, abducting 26 Palestinians, and injuring two civilians during coordinated assaults on homes and refugee camps in Nablus, Tulkarem, and Ramallah.
In the northern West Bank city of Nablus, military vehicles stormed multiple neighborhoods and refugee camps, including Askar (old and new), Balata, and the villages of Zawata, Kafr Qalil, and Beita.
Troops stormed homes, vandalized property, and abducted several residents. Among those taken were three journalists: Mohammad Mona from Zawata, Nawaf Al-Amer and Abdullah Mansour from Kafr Qalil.
Other abductees from Nablus include Ala’ Hmeidan, Amer Al-Tanbour and Ala’ Hassouna from Rafidia, Hosni Al-Amoudi from Ksheika Street, Yasser Mansour from Wadi At-Tuffah, Hassan Al-Safadi from Al-Basha Street, Bassam Abu Ghazaleh and Riad Abu Al-Hassan from Rujeib housing area, Awni Shakhsheer from Ras Al-Ein, and Ammar Breik from Khallet Al-Eman.
In the Askar and Balata refugee camps, six men were abducted: Ahmad Abu Abdu, Raed Marshoud, Abu Mahdi Marshoud, Salim Dhiab, Ahmad Saqr, and Mousa Dweikat.
In Beita town, the soldiers abducted Osaid Mualla, Nidal Al-Jaghoub, and Osaid Bani Shamsa after invading their homes and conducting aggressive searches.
In Attil, near Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli troops abducted Yousef Jarab and Amir Thaher from their homes.
In Beit Rima, north of Ramallah in the central West Bank, the army fired concussion grenades and toxic gas into the home of Haitham Rimawi, igniting a fire.
His pregnant wife and elderly father suffered severe gas inhalation and were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The attack followed a pre-dawn invasion of the town, with residents reporting heavy military presence and indiscriminate use of crowd-control weapons.
These invasions mark a continued escalation in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces routinely abduct civilians, including journalists, and deploy excessive force during home raids.
Local and international rights groups have condemned the pattern of collective punishment and the targeting of densely populated refugee camps.
