On Thursday, July 31, 2025, Day 663 of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army continued its bombing of various parts of the devastated Gaza Strip and targeted Palestinians awaiting humanitarian aid, killing at least 101 civilians, including displaced families in tents and starving people shot by snipers while trying to obtain food from US-run ‘aid’ sites.
Medical sources reported that the death toll among those seeking food aid at the US-run sites has risen to 1,320, with more than 8,818 injured — 81 killed at aid sites in the past 24 hours alone.
The Israeli occupation forces have continued their war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the killing of 60,239 citizens and the injury of 146,894 others.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) warned on Thursday of the worsening malnutrition crisis among children in the Gaza Strip.
The organization confirmed that the number of children under the age of five suffering from severe malnutrition has tripled in recent weeks in Gaza. The MSF teams in the Gaza Strip receive 25 cases of severe malnutrition daily due to the ongoing blockade and Israeli attacks.
“The situation in Gaza is catastrophic by all standards and is deteriorating day by day,” said Enas Abu Khalaf, MSF’s communications officer for the Middle East and North Africa, in a press statement, based on observations by the organization’s teams working on the ground.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) described the situation in Gaza as a “worst-case scenario for famine,” and emphasized that the only way to stop this catastrophe is to flood the Strip with massive amounts of aid.
The death toll from the Zikim Massacre yesterday has risen to 58 people killed and 579 injured. These people were simply trying to get aid for their families, but instead, they returned as lifeless bodies.

Three Palestinians, including a woman, were killed and dozens were injured in Israeli shelling and targeting of civilians in Gaza City and Khan Younis.
A Wafa news correspondent said that at least one woman was killed and dozens were injured, including children, when Israeli warplanes targeted a house in Jabalia al-Balad, north of Gaza City.
A citizen was also killed after being hit by Israeli drone fire in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
A Wafa correspondent reported, citing a source at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, that one person was killed and several others were injured in the Israeli bombing of Al-Karama neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City.

Four Palestinians were killed on Thursday when Israeli occupation forces opened fire at people waiting for aid near the Al-Shakoush aid center, north of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Fifteen citizens were killed and 65 others were injured, most of them children, when the occupation forces targeted gatherings of citizens near the aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of the Wadi Gaza area in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces fired warning shots just inches from a crowd of aid seekers waiting for a UN convoy carrying food supplies. However, Israel intentionally delays convoys and aid trucks at checkpoints, then forces them to pass through unprotected areas. This leads civilians to risk their lives for aid and enables Israeli-backed gangs to exploit the chaos and loot the supplies.
13-year-old Palestinian child Rakan is the sole survivor of an Israeli airstrike that claimed the lives of his entire family in Gaza. He has endured multiple fractures, an amputated leg, and severe injuries to both eyes.
The family of 14-year-old Qasem Al-Najjar bids farewell to him after he was killed by Israeli gunfire this morning while waiting for desperately needed aid to feed his family.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that it has been 10 days since undercover Israeli forces abducted Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, and there is still no information about his health or detention conditions. Israel is currently holding 361 medical staff members in its prisons, including Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the head of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, who was taken from his hospital in December 2024 and severely tortured in the months since then.
UPDATED FROM:
12:20 pm report:
34 people, including children and women, and at least 15 aid seekers, have been killed on Friday in Gaza by the Israeli military.
Medical sources said most of the slain were children and women and added that the army bombarded and fired live rounds at tents sheltering displaced families.
At least five Palestinians were killed, and many others injured, in an Israeli bombing of a tent in Hayat Camp, west of Hamad City in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
In addition, a mother and her three children were killed, and several others wounded, when the army bombed another tent of a displaced family in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis.
In addition, a medical source at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis, said a young man from Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part, Adel Madi, has died from severe malnutrition.
Fifteen Palestinians, including many children and women, were also killed, and more than 60 injured, when Israeli forces targeted thousands of starving civilians near an aid distribution center on Salahuddin Street, south of Gaza Valley in central Gaza.
Earlier Thursday morning, Israeli troops targeted Palestinians gathering near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza, killing at least 15 and injuring dozens, according to medical staff at Al-Aqsa and Al-Awda hospitals.
Eyewitnesses and local media said the crowd, comprised mainly of displaced civilians, was struck by live ammunition, artillery shells, and drone missiles as they waited for food. Many victims remain in critical condition.
This attack came just hours after another deadly strike in the Sudaniyya area, northwest of Gaza City, where more than 50 Palestinians were killed under similar circumstances.
These incidents are part of a rising death toll among civilians seeking sustenance amid a deepening humanitarian crisis.
In Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza, a Palestinian father, his wife, and their three children were killed, and several others wounded, in an Israeli bombing of a tent before they were transferred to Al-Aqsa Hospital.
The victims were identified as Mohammad Fathi Ismail Ayyash (34), Safa Essam Atta Yehya (28), and their children: Yahya (4 months), Lana (5 years), and Eman (1 year).
Local sources reported that the entire family was erased from the civil registry:
Elsewhere, Palestinian medics transferred the corpses of three slain individuals and four wounded after Israeli forces bombed an apartment belonging to the Salfiti family in a residential building in Jabalia, northern Gaza. The victims were taken to Shifa Medical Center in Gaza City.
Samer Zaqout, Director of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS) in Gaza, described the harsh conditions confronting medical teams operating under severe strain. He highlighted the dangerous shortage of food and medical supplies, which continues to undermine life-saving efforts.
Zaqout also warned of a sharp increase in malnutrition among children and adolescents, adding that medical staff are struggling to rescue countless young patients amid worsening conditions.
He further noted the critical scarcity of infant formula, forcing many mothers to use water as a last resort, an unsafe practice with grave health implications for infants.
Hospitals, he added, are overwhelmed by the daily influx of casualties, many from areas near aid distribution centers. Healthcare workers are racing against time with minimal resources to treat the injured.
Meanwhile, UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression, Irene Khan, condemned the Israeli army’s baseless accusations against Al-Jazeera journalist Anas Sharif, warning that such claims deliberately endanger his life.
Khan expressed deep concern over threats targeting Sharif, the last remaining Al-Jazeera correspondent in northern Gaza, and criticized the Israeli military for labeling him, and other journalists, as “terrorists” without presenting any evidence.
She called on the international community to intervene and prevent Israel from targeting Sharif and fellow journalists in Gaza, stressing that the army’s narrative portraying journalists as combatants is a tactic to justify their killing.
Khan also denounced Israel’s refusal to allow international journalists into Gaza and its ongoing campaign to discredit local reporters. She described the killing and detention of Palestinian journalists as part of a systematic strategy to suppress the truth.
In her appeal, Khan urged global actors to protect Gaza’s courageous journalists, emphasizing that their reporting on the unfolding genocide could help awaken the world’s conscience.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir that a plan described as “voluntary migration” from Gaza could be enacted within weeks if no ceasefire or prisoner exchange deal is reached.
Ben Gvir and other extremist members of Netanyahu’s government have publicly supported the forced displacement of Gaza’s population, a position that has sparked widespread controversy both inside Israel and across the international community, particularly amid ongoing negotiations on detainee exchange and military withdrawal.
