The full letter of the urgent appeal from the priests of Taybeh in the wake of the increased settlers attacks on the village.
@GovMikeHuckabee any response about the pleas of your siblings in Christ? This is the result of your "Judea and Samaria" policy: total immunity to settler violence.

Church Leaders Demand International Action After Attacks On Taybeh
by IMEMC News
July 14, 2025
The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine has denounced the latest attacks by illegal, fanatic Israeli paramilitary colonizers, on the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central region, warning that these assaults reflect a systematic policy targeting the Palestinian people and urgently require international intervention.
The Committee participated in a solidarity vigil held on Monday to protest the repeated Israeli violations against Taybeh’s Christian community and their holy sites.
It emphasized that the targeting of Christian presence in Palestine is no longer an isolated incident but part of a calculated campaign, one that demands a serious and coordinated response from the global community, especially considering the alarming escalation by groups of illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers in the town.
Committee representatives affirmed that their involvement stems from a deep commitment to defending the indigenous Christian heritage in the Holy Land and supporting the steadfastness of Palestinians confronting systemic violence and forced displacement.
They described these attacks as blatant violations of international law and conventions safeguarding places of worship and religious freedom.
The Committee called on the international community and churches worldwide to immediately pressure governments to adopt concrete measures that halt these abuses and uphold religious freedom and spiritual diversity in the Holy Land.
The conference, held under the title “Come and See,” brought together prominent religious and political figures, including Patriarch Theophilos III, head of the Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem, Palestine, and Jordan, alongside Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
The gathering also featured bishops, priests, ambassadors, consuls, and international media representatives.
The Palestinians attended in large numbers, joined by a delegation from the High Presidential Committee led by Mousa Hadid, with members Omar Awadallah, Yousef Barakat, Jihad Khair, Hadeel Mashreqi (acting Director General), and Raed Hanania, Head of Public Relations and Media.
The event opened with remarks from Father Bashar Fawadleh, pastor of the Church of Christ the Redeemer in Taybeh, who spoke about the suffering of the community under organized attacks by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers targeting Christian sanctities and private property.
He underscored that this persecution is part of the broader plight faced by all Palestinians and reaffirmed that Christians in Palestine are not transient, but an indigenous and deeply rooted part of the land’s history.
Patriarch Theophilos III read a joint statement from the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem, condemning the Israeli assaults and stressing the need to preserve Christian presence in the Holy Land. He reaffirmed ongoing church efforts to protect this heritage amid systematic threats.
“What happened on July 7 is a direct threat to our religious and human legacy,” he stated. “We categorically reject these exclusionary messages and reiterate our commitment to a sacred land where multiple faiths coexist in dignity and peace.”
The statement further declared, “The Church has faithfully existed in this region for nearly 2,000 years—we will not allow this presence to be erased. Even during times of war, sacred sites must be protected.”
It concluded with a global appeal: “We urge diplomats, politicians, and church leaders worldwide to raise their voices in defense of our ecumenical community in Taybeh so that it may live in peace, freely worship, and cultivate its land without fear.”
A message from King Abdullah II of Jordan, delivered to Patriarch Theophilos, expressed Jordan’s unwavering solidarity with Taybeh and denounced the savage assaults on the historic Saint George Church and Christian cemetery.
King Abdullah emphasized that the severity of colonizer violence and daily terrorization of Palestinians, coupled with their systematic attacks on dozens of towns, villages, and refugee camps across the occupied territories, particularly the genocidal aggression against children, women, elders, and civilians in Gaza, necessitates urgent and decisive international action.
The conference also featured statements from journalists, before participants moved to the historic Saint George Church for a special mass. Prayers were offered for the protection of Taybeh and other Palestinian areas under similar assault.
The delegation concluded with a field tour of locations affected by recent attacks and fires, listening to powerful testimonies from residents who endured the serious violations firsthand.
