On Friday, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian journalist and issued her a military order barring her from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem, for one week before releasing her.
Media sources reported that the soldiers abducted Nadine Ja’far at Bab Al-Ghwanma Gate, one of the gates leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The army detained and interrogated Nadine for several hours, later handing her an order banning her from entering Al-Aqsa until March 4, before releasing her.
It is worth noting that in April 2024, Israeli soldiers assaulted and injured Nadine while she was reporting near Bab Al-‘Amoud (Damascus Gate) in Jerusalem.
In a related incident, Israeli soldiers abducted Palestinian lawyer Ismael Khatib while he was visiting detainees at Ofer Israeli prison near Ramallah, in the central part of the occupied West Bank.
On Friday night, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian father, his wife, and two of their sons in Burqin town, west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
n related news, Israeli soldiers invaded Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, sparking protests, before they shot a teenage boy.
At dawn on Friday, Israeli soldiers abducted three Palestinians from their homes in the Nablus governorate, located in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
As of early April, over 9,900 Palestinians remain in Israeli prisons, including 3,498 administrative detainees, 400 children, and 27 women. Among Gaza detainees, 1,747 have been labeled as “illegal combatants” by Israeli authorities, a designation that excludes many others, especially those held in military camps.
Before October 7, 2023, Israeli prisons held more than 5,250 detainees, including 40 women, 170 children, and approximately 1,320 administrative detainees.
