Several Palestinians were injured on Saturday evening due to an attack by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

Anti-colonization activist Osama Makhamra stated that armed colonizers from the “Susiya” illegal colony, established on Masafer Yatta lands, attacked the residents of the “Wadi Jheish” community in Masafer.

He added that several Palestinians, including children and women, suffered cuts and bruises, and stated that the colonizers also cut and uprooted several trees in the area before leaving.

Makhamra pointed out that Israeli soldiers invaded the area and abducted Ahmad Khaled Najjar, who has special needs, while he was grazing sheep near his home in Khirbet Qawawees in Masafer Yatta.

According to a report by the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation soldiers and paramilitary colonizers carried out 1,705 attacks against Palestinians and their properties during the past month of February in several parts of the occupied West Bank.

The report added that the army carried out 1,475 attacks, while the colonizers carried out 230 attacks, mostly concentrated in the governorates of Nablus with 300 attacks, Hebron with 267 attacks, and Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 263 attacks.
