On Thursday, a group of fanatic illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded a Palestinian orchard in Hares village, west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank’s central part, and uprooted at least 100 olive trees.
Media sources reported that the colonizers invaded the Abu Al-Ola area in Hares before storming a 20-dunam Palestinian olive orchard owned by Khaled Aqel.
They added that the colonizers cut and uprooted at least 100 olive trees owned by Aqel before fleeing the area.
It is worth mentioning that the area is subject to constant violations by the Israeli soldiers and the paramilitary colonizers who are trying to occupy more Palestinian lands for the construction and expansion of the illegal colonies.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
