Four people were stabbed on Tuesday night on central Tel Aviv's Nahalat Binyamin Street in a terrorist attack.
The Magen David Adom rescue service reported that two of the victims, aged 28 and 24, were moderately wounded in their upper bodies, and that the other two victims, aged 24 and 59, were lightly wounded. The wounded were evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.
Several people were initially stabbed on Nahalat Binyamin Street, after which the attacker ran to Gruzenberg Street, stabbed another person, and was shot dead by a civilian at the scene. However, a large number of police forces are still scanning the area.
A security source named the attacker as Abdelaziz Kaddi, a 29-year-old Moroccan citizen with a U.S. residency card who arrived in Israel three days ago.
A senior Interior Ministry official told Haaretz that the attacker flew in from Poland and, during questioning, revealed he had no hotel, family, or friends in Israel. Although the official wanted to deny his entry, his U.S. residency led to further questioning, and ultimately, the Shin Bet security service approved his entry.
The Shin Bet said in response that "Upon the individual's entry into Israel, a security assessment was conducted, including questioning and additional checks, which concluded that there were no grounds to deny his entry for security reasons. The incident will be investigated."
An eyewitness who spoke with Haaretz said: "My son and I were at a restaurant, and we heard chairs and tables being overturned. They said someone was stabbing, and someone in front of me had a rifle, probably a soldier. Suddenly, all the tables flew. We ran into one of the buildings, and a girl opened the door for us. We saw people who had been stabbed, and I thought, 'Any second, he's coming to stab me.' It was a very difficult incident."
Michal, an eyewitness, told Israel's Channel 12 News: "We were sitting at a restaurant on Nahalat Binyamin, we heard gunshots, and suddenly ambulances arrived. Everyone was on the ground, glass was flying everywhere. Nahalat Binyamin was bustling with life, and suddenly everything turned upside down. All the rescue forces arrived, and people were really panicked. It was a crowded area, with people out to have fun and enjoy themselves," she continued.
On Saturday, a 28-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after being stabbed in central Tel Aviv. The Palestinian assailant was shot to death by a passerby, and police have said that there was no ongoing threat to the public.
The wounded man was taken to Ichilov Hospital by ambulance while conscious, with a stab wound in his upper body. A spokesperson for Ichilov Hospital said he was in serious condition. A security source said the assailant was Salah Yahya, 19, from Tul Karm in the West Bank, who had been staying illegally in Israel.
Last month, an 83-year-old woman was fatally stabbed in a terror attack in Herzliya in central Israel. The assailant, a 28-year-old resident of the West Bank, was shot in the lower body by security guards from Israel Post and taken to hospital. The victim was named as Lyudmila Liposvky.
The Shin Bet security service said that the attacker was a former informant who worked for Israel's defense establishment to prevent terrorist attacks in the West Bank. He was relocated to Israel after being exposed.

On Tuesday, four Israelis were injured and a US resident was killed during an alleged stabbing attack in the coastal Israeli city of Tel Aviv.
Media sources said that, on Tuesday night, four Israelis were injured as a result of an alleged stabbing attack in the city of Tel Aviv, two of whom were moderately wounded, and two others sustained mild injuries; while the alleged perpetrator was shot dead at the scene.
The slain young man accused of the attack was later identified as Abdel Aziz Qadi, 29, a Moroccan resident of the United States who entered Israel just days earlier on January 18.
Sources added that the alleged perpetrator of the attack was shot and killed by an Israeli police woman in civilian clothes.
The Arab 48 News website quoted Israeli reports which stated that at least one of the Israelis that sustained injuries was a soldier who participated in the genocidal military onslaught in the Gaza Strip.
The same source quoted a statement by the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas, who said “The tide of resistance will continue and increase as long as the occupation and its crimes and aggression continue.”
The resistance movement added that the stabbing operation is a “natural response” to the Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.
In a statement by Moshe Arbel, the Israeli Minister of Interior, said border patrol officers at the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, recommended that the accused perpetrator not be allowed into Israel.
Arbel added that Israeli authorities “referred him for investigation to the security services, which unfortunately decided to allow him to enter.”
In response, the Israeli General Security Service (Shabak) said, “Upon the aforementioned person’s entry into Israel, a security assessment was conducted, which included questioning him and additional procedures, and at the end of which it was decided that there was no information that would require preventing his entry for security reasons.”
In the same context, a Palestinian, identified as Saleh Yahya, 19, from the city of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank, was shot and killed after allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack in Tel Aviv on Saturday, seriously injuring one Israeli.
