On Thursday dawn, Israeli soldiers conducted massive invasions of various parts of the occupied West Bank, broke into and ransacked dozens of homes and buildings, and abducted many Palestinians.
The invasions were still ongoing at the time of this report and included field interrogations, destruction of property, displacements, and assaults.
Media sources in Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank, said the soldiers invaded Ertah Suburb, south of the city, and abducted two siblings, Baha’ Mazen Shalabi, 34, and his brother Dia’ Shalabi, 30, in addition to their brother’s wife, Ansam Shalabi.
In Hebron, in the West Bank’s southern part, the soldiers invaded several villages and towns in the governorate, stormed and ransacked dozens of homes, causing serious damage, before abducting at least six Palestinians.
In Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, the soldiers abducted Saif Na’im Abu Mariya, Hammouda Jamal Abu Mariya, Khalil Jamal Abu Mariya, and Omar Azzam Za’aqeeq.
The soldiers also abducted Yousef Ahmad Awad and Qassam Khaled Abu Rabea’ from their homes in Yatta and the Al-Fawwar refugee camp.
It is worth mentioning that the army intensified the military restrictions across the Hebron Governorate, installed roadblocks, and closed existing ones, forcing many Palestinians to spend the night waiting at the roadblocks after not being allowed to return to their homes.
In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, the soldiers abducted Abdul-Ghani Fares from Silwad town, and Hatem Abu Sheikha from Rammoun, both students at Birzeit University, in addition to Ali Wahid Barghouthi, from Kobar town, northwest of Ramallah.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, the soldiers invaded many neighborhoods in the city, and the Al-Ein refugee camp, stormed and ransacked homes before abducting three Palestinians, Sa’adi Tabanja, from the Northern Mountain area, Abdul-Ghafour Abu Hashiya, from Ibin Roshod Street, and Khalil Kiwan from the Public Housing Projects area.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Beita town, south of Nablus, before storming and ransacking many homes, causing damage.
In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted two young men, Hamed Abu Sbeih and Ahmad Tawil, from Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to searching and interrogating two children in the Old City.
The army also invaded Hizma town, north of Jerusalem, and closed streets, in addition to increasing the restrictions on the Jaba’ military roadblock, north of the city.
On Wednesday evening, the soldiers abducted a young man from Jericho city, in the northeastern West Bank, intensified the siege on the city and its surrounding areas, and confiscated a truck in the southern part of the city.
Jericho Governor, Hussein Hamayel, stated that the governorate suffered massive economic losses due to Israeli restrictions, especially in the agricultural sector, which experienced an unprecedented setback after the prices of agricultural products fell by 90%, and the tourism sector, which incurred significant losses.
