On Tuesday, nine Palestinians were killed, including a child, and dozens were injured, including at least three doctors, as a result of a large-scale Israeli attack on the city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern occupied West Bank.

The Health Ministry announced that nine Palestinians were killed and more than 35 were injured, identifying the slain Palestinians as;

1. Khalil Tariq al-Saadi, 35,
2. Khalaf Ahmad Jamhawi, 26,
3. Hussein Abdel Moneim Abu al-Haija, 38,
4. Yousef Khalil Abu Awad, 42,
5. Moataz Imad Abu Tabikh, 16,
6. Ahmad Nimer al-Shaib, 43,
7. Amin Salah al-Asmar, 57,
8. Raed Hussein Abu al-Sabaa, 53.
9. Abdel Wahab Ahmad al-Saadi, 53.

Media sources said that an undercover Israeli unit was detected in the Al-Jabarat neighborhood, before a large army force, including bulldozers, invaded Jenin city and its refugee camp from the Jalamah military roadblock, north of the city.

Sources added that the army besieged the Jenin refugee camp, preventing citizens from entering or leaving, while deploying sharpshooters in its vicinity, amid the overhead flight of Israeli drones and an Apache attack helicopter.

Occupation sharpshooters in the Al-Hadaf and Al-Damj neighborhoods in Jenin refugee camp opened heavy fire on unarmed civilians, injuring several people, simultaneously blocking medics from reaching them.

An Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle in the vicinity of the Jenin refugee camp, while an Apache helicopter fired 30 mm rounds in the skies over the city and its camp.

Another drone strike targeted a site near a group of volunteer paramedics with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), with two missiles, no injuries were reported.

In the evening, the PRCS reported that its ambulance crews transported the body of a slain citizen to the hospital after he was shot and killed in the Al-Damj neighborhood in the Jenin camp.

The PRCS added that a Palestinian woman was shot in the thigh with live ammunition in the city of Jenin; she was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The death of toll during the ongoing aggression against the Jenin refugee camp rose to nine, while the number of injuries was estimated at forty.

Dr. Wissam Bakr, the director of Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital, told the WAFA News Agency that five medical professionals were shot by Israeli snipers near the Jenin Governmental Hospital, Al-Amal Hospital, and Al-Razi Hospital.

Several occupation bulldozers destroyed the streets in the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, while a power-outage was reported after a large explosion was heard in the camp, cutting the power in several neighborhoods in the city and the camp.
Since Monday, the Israeli army have closed entrances to many towns and villages in most major cities in the occupied West Bank, separating and isolating citizens.

In a joint statement on Tuesday, the Israeli army and Shin Bet security service announced the launch of a counter-terrorism operation in the West Bank city of Jenin.

Palestinian sources say at least nine Palestinians were killed and 40 wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the city and in clashes with IDF forces.

The operation, named "Iron Wall," will continue "as long as necessary" and will involve IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces, according to their statement. Its goals are to ensure the army's freedom of action across the West Bank, while targeting terrorist infrastructure and immediate threats.

Palestinian sources added that Israel has breached the communications network of Palestinian Authority security forces in Jenin and demanded that their members withdraw from the city.

The Israeli army has been planning the operation for some time, and commando forces were brought to the area in preparation. One of the operation's goals is to remove explosive devices, which have posed an increasing threat to forces recently. Additionally, the army seeks to reach several targets that PA forces have failed to.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement shortly after the operation began that it constitutes "a further step toward achieving the goal we set – strengthening security in Judea and Samaria."

"Israel is acting systematically and decisively against the Iranian Axis wherever it extends its reach – in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Judea and Samaria," he added.

Minutes before the IDF's announced the operation, Defense Minister Israel Katz said during a Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee session that he had instructed the army to operate in the West Bank "to protect all [Israeli] settlements and residents."

"This is being carried out and will continue to be carried out in order to strike terrorism with great force and thwart it."

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said in a statement that the counter-terrorism operation in Jenin on Monday was announced following the addition of strengthening security in the West Bank as a new objective in the government's war strategy.
