At dawn Tuesday, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian citizen near Ramallah, abducted at least eighteen others, including children and former prisoners, in the occupied West Bank, between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

In a joint statement the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) and the Commission of Prisoners’ and Former Prisoners’ Affairs said that Israeli forces abducted eighteen citizens in the governorates of Nablus, Salfit, Ramallah, occupied Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron.

The statement added that occupation forces have abducted more than 11,900 citizens since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, adding that soldiers have abducted an estimated thousands of Palestinians from Gaza.

Media sources said that on Tuesday at dawn, occupation forces opened fire at a citizen’s vehicle, shooting the driver in the back with live ammunition, in the town of al-Mazra’a ash-Sharqiya, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

After the young man’s vehicle was targeted, the young man was transported to hospital in Ramallah, where his condition was described as moderate.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces invaded the family homes of the children, Omar Raed Hajj Mohammad, 17, and Adham Mohammad Zaghir, 17, before abducting them in Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah.

Sources added that the army stormed a residential building in Al-Biereh city, east of Ramallah, and abducted the Birzeit University students, Abdul Rahman and Moaz Totah.

Furthermore, Israeli forces stormed the village of Salem, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, on Tuesday at dawn, and abducted the young man, Asem Awad, after invading and ransacking his home.

Sources added that the army invaded the town of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus, before storming and ransacking a citizen’s home, and assaulting its residents.

Moreover, the army stormed the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Tuesday morning, and abducted Ahmad Abu Samra, Adam Shahada, and Ahmad Hazin, after breaking into their homes.

According to Mohammad Hamida, the head of the Commission of Prisoners’ and Former Prisoners’ Affairs, on Tuesday morning, Israeli forces interrogated and abducted the deputy secretary of the Fatah movement, Majdi Abu Aker in the Aida refugee camp.

He added that soldiers interrogated and abducted the former prisoner, Shadi Badawneh, after invading and searching their homes in the Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.

Hamida stated that the army detained at least 50 Palestinian young men after invading the Aida and Al-Azza refugee camps, brutally assaulted them and subjected them to harsh interrogation, before releasing them and handing some of them summonses for intelligence reviews.

Lastly, Israeli forces abducted three Palestinian citizens in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron, on Tuesday morning.

Media sources said that occupation forces abducted Muhammad Jabrin Shahada Makhamreh, and Mahmoud Hussein Hawshiya from Yatta town, south of Hebron, and the young man, Islam Misk, from the city of Hebron, after storming and searching their homes.
