In a joint statement the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) and the Commission of Prisoners’ and Former Prisoners’ Affairs said that Israeli forces abducted at least eighteen citizens in the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarem, Qalqilia, Nablus, Ramallah, occupied Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron.

The statement added that occupation forces have abducted more than 11,800 citizens since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, sparking protests.

Media sources said that a large army force, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed Qabatiya town, on Thursday morning, while soldiers infiltrated the town and sharpshooters were positioned on the rooftops of citizens’ homes.

Sources added that the army broke into many citizens’ homes and abducted an unidentified citizen, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces abducted four citizens from the Nur Shams refugee camp and the Thanaba suburb, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank.

Media sources said that occupation forces abducted, at dawn Thursday, three young men identified as Jawad Aws Aref, Mohammad Walid Aref, 43, and Yousef Badawiya, from the Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarem.

Sources added that Israeli soldiers abducted the young man, Mohammad Shalbaya, 40, in the Thanaba suburb, east of the city.

The Arab 48 news website reported that an undercover unit infiltrated the Nur Shams camp, and besieged a home before reinforcements arrived, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the invading army with live rounds and crude explosive devices.

It added that soldiers abducted the young man, Saber Masha, a resident of the Nur Shams camp, while he was at his place of work.

Furthermore, Israeli forces abducted two Palestinian young men after invading their homes in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah and injured another after invading the city of Al-Biereh, east of Ramallah.

Media sources said that the army stormed and ransacked the home of Mohammad Azour, at dawn Thursday, before abducting him in the village of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah.

Sources added that occupation forces invaded the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah and abducted the young man, Wajih Al-Tarifi, after breaking into his home.

In the afternoon, Israeli forces stormed the city of Al-Biereh and surrounded the Al-Biereh municipality headquarters, sparking protests, while soldiers opened fire with live ammunition.

The Ma’an News Agency reported that the army shot a Palestinian young man during its invasion of the city of Al-Biereh, adding that soldiers stormed several many citizens’ homes and commercial shops in the city.

The Arab 48 news website reported that Israeli soldiers abducted, on Thursday morning, the young man, Yahya Shabana, and the young woman, Lana Fawalha, after stopping them at the “Ein Siniya” military roadblock at the northern entrance to the city of Ramallah.

Moreover, north of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted the young man, Mohammad Hassan Hammad, after brutally assaulting him and ransacking his home in the Qalandia refugee camp on Thursday morning.

In the afternoon, the army invaded the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, accompanied by a military bulldozer; no protests or arrests were reported.

Finally, Israeli forces abducted a former prisoner and confiscated a vehicle and money from a prisoner’s home, in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron.

Media sources said that occupation forces invaded the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, on Thursday morning, and abducted the former prisoner, Raafat Mohammad al-Janazra, 20, after storming and ransacking his home.
