On Saturday, Israeli forces shot two Palestinian young men, injuring one of whom was critically injured, and abducted four others in the town of Al-‘Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.

Media sources said that occupation forces shot two young men with live ammunition, causing critical injuries, and abducted four others, on Saturday night, in Al-‘Isawiya town.

According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces isolated and besieged the town, and opened fire with live rounds at a group of young men and boys, before a large police and army force stormed the area.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center (Silwanic) reported that occupation forces surrounded the Hadassah Hospital, and prevented the injured young men from entering the hospital.

It added that Israeli forces fired rubber-coated steel rounds at homes in the “Abu Rayala” neighborhood in Al-‘Isawiya town and ordered residents to remain in their homes.

In a statement, Israeli police admitted that its forces shot and seriously injured a young man and abducted four others, under the pretext of “throwing Molotov cocktails at vehicles on Ma’ale Adumim Street.”

In a related context, the incident coincides with the occupation authorities closing of the area to Palestinians while facilitating the colonizers’ celebration of Yom Kippur.
