On Thursday, Israeli soldiers uprooted more than ten dunams of Palestinian land planted with vegetables and fruit trees in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
Mohammad Awad, a local activist, said the soldiers invaded the Al-Qarn area southeast of the town and bulldozed over ten dunams of land planted with vegetables, grapevines, and olive trees, and stated that the lands are owned by the three siblings Ghazi, Hatem, and Faiz Abu Ayyash.
Ghazi Abu Ayyash stated that the Israeli soldiers bulldozed their land, destroyed their fields planted with fruit and olive trees after detaining him, his brother, and their families in their homes nearby and preventing them from leaving during the uprooting of their lands.
Abu Ayyash added that, after bulldozing the lands, the soldiers fired live rounds and gas bombs at the locals and their homes, causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
Residents of that area face continuous assaults and systematic destruction of their properties and fields by Israeli soldiers and the paramilitary colonizers.
