Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man, on Saturday, during repeated military invasions into the Balata camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

On Saturday evening, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man and injured others, in the Balata camp, the second citizen to be killed in the camp in several hours

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that Israeli forces shot and killed the young man, Ali Bassam Hashash, 24, and injured twenty-two others.

Media sources said that occupation forces invaded the Balata camp for the third time on Saturday, the army deployed sharpshooters on tall buildings, while reconnaissance drones flew overhead.

Local Palestinian resistance fighters exchange fire with the invading army, who shot the young Hashash in the chest with live ammunition and injured others, including three seriously.

In the afternoon, an Israeli drone strike killed a Palestinian child and injured many others including two seriously, in the Al-Jammasin neighborhood in the Balata camp.

Soldiers withdrew from the camp and re-invaded after one hour, deployed sharpshooters on tall buildings, shooting a young man with a live round in the arm; he was transported to a hospital in Nablus.

Israeli forces have now killed 591 Palestinians, including 143 children in various parts of the occupied West Bank, since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
