On Monday night, extremist paramilitary Israeli colonizers torched Palestinian lands in Qusra village of Qusra, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

Media sources said the colonizers, from Yesh Kodesh colony that was built on stolen Palestinian lands, invaded the southeastern area of the village and set fire to residents’ agricultural lands.

The sources added that the colonizers fled to their illegal nearby colony, before the locals rushed to extinguish the fire that consumed large areas of lands.

It is worth mentioning that violations by the colonizers against Palestinians and their properties witnessed a significant increase increased since the beginning war on Gaza and the serious escalation in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.

The violations include physical assaults of the Palestinians, the bulldozing, uprooting and burning of Palestinian lands, attacks targeted homes, cards and other property, including the burning and destruction of dozens of homes and cars.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
