On Sunday, Israeli forces shot a young man and abducted at least twelve Palestinian citizens, including a 7-year-old child, after invading their homes in various regions of the occupied West Bank.
Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man and abducted three others in the Al-Far’a refugee camp, southwest of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that an undercover Israeli unit (Musta’ribeen) infiltrated the Al-Far’a camp on Sunday morning, followed by military reinforcements from its eastern entrance, sparking protests.
The army deployed sharpshooters on the rooftops of tall buildings who opened fire on citizens, amid the overhead flight of reconnaissance drones.
Soldiers shot at least one young man with a live round, he sustained shrapnel wounds and was transported to the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas for treatment.
According to Kamal Bani Odeh, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) in Tubas, occupation forces stormed and searched the homes of Omar Mahmoud Abu Al-Saman, Youssef Issa Youssef Ghazalawi, and Ahmad Omar Hosni Sobh, before abducting them.
Palestine TV reported that Morad Ghazalawi, the brother of Youssef Issa Youssef Ghazalawi, was also abducted from the camp.
Meanwhile, before dawn Sunday, several military vehicles invaded the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, and deployed soldiers throughout the camp, while firing live rounds.
Media sources added that the army stormed the town of Rujeib, southeast of the city, besieging and invading the home of the citizen, Wassim Rawajba.
In the central West Bank, occupation forces abducted a young man in the village of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah, triggering protests among Palestinian youths.
Media sources said that Israeli forces invaded the village before dawn, and abducted the young man, Ahmad Al-Rimawi.
Furthermore, the army abducted four Palestinians, including a 7-year-old child in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, after breaking into and searching many citizens’ homes.
Media sources said that Israeli forces stormed the village on Sunday morning, continuing its incursion for several hours, and abducted the child, Bahaa Kazem Al-Hajj Mohammad, 7, Dhiaa Mohammad from Al-Auja, Mufid Abu Alia, and Kamal Ziyad Naasan.
In the southern West Bank, the army invaded the town of Al-Khader, west of Bethlehem, stormed citizens’ homes, and abducted three young men.
Media sources said that occupation soldiers invaded the town on Sunday morning, and abducted Omar Mahmoud Issa, 22, Alaa Yahya Izzat Issa, 21, and Ouda Tayeh Issa.
In a statement by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), Israel continues to imprison 9,300 Palestinians in occupation prisons, including 250 children and 75 women, and not including the estimated thousands of detainees abducted from the Gaza Strip.
At least 3,400 of those held in Israeli jails are detained under Administrative Detention, which is defined by Addameer as “a procedure that allows Israeli occupation forces to hold prisoners indefinitely on secret information without charging them or allowing them to stand trial.”
