Illegal paramilitary Israeli soldiers shot, Wednesday evening, a Palestinian father and his son in the Old City of the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.
The shooting occurred when a group of armed colonists invaded a store in the Bazaar market, with one of them firing shots, wounding the store owner and his son who were promptly taken to a hospital.
After the attack, Israeli soldiers sealed off the area and assaulted many Palestinians, while the colonists continued their aggression by vandalizing a Palestinian car with a child inside near the Hebron Gate.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the wounded father Bassam Barakat, and his son, Sinan Barakat, were moved to a hospital in Jerusalem. Silwanic stated that Sinan was shot in the arm and the leg and was admitted to surgery.
The Palestinians who witnessed the incident intervened and were talking to the colonizers in Hebrew, trying to ensure the situation does not escalate further and potentially lead to more casualties, as the paramilitary colonizers were pointing their guns at them.
Silwanic lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud and Siraj Abu Arafa, said the soldiers abducted Anas Bassam Barakat, the brother of Sinan, and took him to the Al-Qashla Police Station in the Old City.
The army did not detain or interrogate any of the paramilitary Israeli colonizers who attacked the Palestinians.
