Description
HEBRON (Ma’an) – Israeli forces ransacked several homes in the southern West Bank Tuesday evening, while settlers attacked a young man near the Israeli settlement Kiryat Arba.
Abdul-Aleem al-Jaabari told Ma’an that Israeli forces surrounded several homes in the al-Jabari neighborhood and fired stun grenades and tear gas.
Al-Jaabari, who heads the Palestinian Wrestling Federation, said Israeli soldiers assaulted his sons and the sons of his neighbor Zeidan al-Jaabari.
Separately, a group of settlers escorted by soldiers violently attacked a young Palestinian man, Marwan Farahat Burqan, near Kiryat Arba, witnesses said. Palestinian Red Crescent medics evacuated the man by ambulance to the public hospital in Hebron, locals said.
The incident led to clashes as locals protested the man's beating.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said Palestinians threw stones, injuring two Israeli women. Settlers then entered a Palestinian's home but soldiers ordered them to leave, she added.
