On Sunday, Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinian children near Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part. Their deaths came after the army killed a Palestinian-Jordanian child who came to Jericho with his family to attend his sister’s wedding.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has confirmed that the soldiers killed Ahmad Mousa Mohammad Jabarin, 16, and Jalal Issa Mohammad Jabarin, 17, near Sa’ir town, northeast of Hebron.
It added that the army refused to allow its medics to reach the two Palestinians but later handed their corpses to its medics.
The Israeli army claimed the two young men “opened fire at the soldiers who responded and killed them” and added that none of the soldiers were injured in the alleged shooting.
The Israeli allegations were refuted by family and locals who said the two were friends and were out hunting birds when an illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizer said them and called the army, informing it of “seeing two armed Palestinians planning an attack.”
After the soldiers arrived in the area, they immediately opened fire on the two children and killed them.
Also Sunday, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian-Jordanian child, Lu’ay Majed Salem Soufi, 16, in the Ein Al-Sultan refugee camp north of Jericho city in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
The slain child came from Jordan, his first-ever visit to Palestine, to attend his sister’s wedding; the soldiers shot him in the chest.
Israel has now killed 350 Palestinians, including many children, in several parts of the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023.
In the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Israel committed 11 massacres in less than 24 hours, killing at least 125 Palestinians and injuring hundreds.
Israel has now killed at least 23,968 Palestinians and injured more than 60,582; most of the slain and wounded Palestinians are women, children, and elders due to Israel’s targeting of entire families.
