Israeli soldiers killed and injured hundreds of Palestinians in several parts of the Gaza Strip, including when the army fired missiles at the Latin Monastery and the house of Mother Teresa’s nuns in Gaza, killing two and injuring ten last night.
Rami Abdu, Assistant Prof of Law & Finance, Chairman of EuroMed (@EuroMedHR) Human Rights Monitor, said in a twitter post: “Israel is completely demolishing residential neighborhoods over the heads of its inhabitants. Soldiers of the Israeli army are sharing footage of the destruction of a residential area in northeast Gaza. #GazaGenocide“
In addition, dozens of Palestinians were killed and many more injured when the Israeli army fired barrages of missiles and shells at several areas of Gaza City and Khan Younis.
Media sources said dozens of Palestinians have been confirmed dead and scores injured when the army fired missiles and shells around the Jordanian Field Hospital in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal region.
Dozens of Palestinians were also killed and injured when the army fired missiles at the Al-Mustaqbal School, housing dozens of families in the Sabra neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Furthermore, the Israeli army surrounded the Jabalia Emergency Center of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Jabalia, in northern Gaza, where 127 Palestinians, including medics, are sheltering.
Also, Israeli missiles and shells have killed at least 46 Palestinians and injured more than 110, in addition to the dozens who remain buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings in Jabalia.
In addition, the army fired missiles at the Latin Monastery and the house of Mother Teresa’s nuns in Gaza, killing two and injuring ten last night.
The attack came after Israeli army sharpshooters killed two Palestinian Christian women, Naheda Boulos and her daughter Samar Anton, who were among many Christians sheltering in the Holy Family Parish in Gaza.
Israel, and after criticism for its indiscriminate fire and the targeted of Islamic and Christian holy sites in the Gaza Strip, tried to claim that the Christian mother and her daughter were “spotters for Hamas” (Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas).
Commenting to a blatant Israeli lie by the fanatic Deputy Mayor of occupied Jerusalem Fleur Hassan-Nahoum who was responding to reports about the Israeli army targeting a Catholic Church in Gaza, by claiming that “there are no Christians in Gaza,” Father Munther Isaac, a Palestinian Christian Theologian, Evangelical Lutheran Pastor in Bethlehem, Academic Dean of Beth Bible College and Lead “Christ at the Checkpoint” said: “What a blatant lie by an Israeli official! There are no Christians in Gaza? Well, your government is definitely making sure there will be no Christians left in Gaza and no possibility of life in Gaza altogether. 1.9 million are already displaced, including the Christians of Gaza.”
In addition, an Al-Jazeera correspondent said all telecommunication in the entire Gaza Strip had been severed, just a few hours after the southern parts of the Gaza Strip lost communications and internet.
It is worth mentioning that telecommunications were restored in a few parts of the Gaza Strip last Sunday, after a total blackout lasted for four days, but are now lost again.
In related news, the Israeli army announced the death of a Lieutenant from the Givati Brigade in exchanges of fire with Palestinian fighters in southern Gaza. The announcement came just hours after an officer was killed in the same area.
The number of Israeli soldiers who were killed by Palestinian fighters in Gaza since Israel began the ground offensive on the coastal region on October 27 has reached 134, while the number of soldiers killed since October 7 is more than 466. The number is only for those officially announced by Israel.
A week earlier, a video filmed and published by Israeli soldiers cheering the bombing of an UNRWA School in Gaza.
A month ago, Israeli soldiers also filmed themselves celebrating the bombing of a residential building in Gaza.
Israel has now killed more than 19650 Palestinians and injured at least 52600, mainly women and children, in addition to the thousands of Palestinians who remain missing, mostly believed to be buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings in several parts of the Gaza Strip.
