Israeli police brutalized, on Friday, Palestinian Muslims, assaulted a journalist, and abducted a young man, while undercover agents kidnapped seven, including five minors, in occupied Jerusalem.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police denied many Palestinian Muslim worshipers access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City for Friday prayer, while brutalizing woman and elderly people.
Many worshipers who were denied entry into Al-Aqsa Mosque were forced to pray on the street in the nearby Wadi al-Joz and Ras al-Amud neighborhoods, while armed police overlooked.
Israeli police obstructed the work of press crews, and viciously assaulted photojournalist, Mustafa Al-Kharouf, in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood, causing cuts and bruises to his head and face. He was subsequently transported to hospital for medical treatment.
Later, undercover Israeli agents (Musta’ribeen), with the reinforcement of occupation army and police stormed the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
Soldiers besieged the neighborhood, closing its entrances and prevented anyone from entering it, while threatened residents with pistols, forcing them to return to their homes.
It is important to note that the undercover agents pointed pistols at the young men and children while kidnapping them.According to the lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, Siraj Abu Arafa, the detainees were transferred to the “Salah al-Din Street in Jerusalem” police station.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center (Silwanic) identified the seven who were kidnapped by undercover agents Palestinians, including five minors and another young man who was abducted by occupation police. They are;
1. Mahmoud Abu Lafi, 12,
2. Walid Gibran, 13,
3. Muhammad Saeeda, 16,
4. Zakaria Murrar, 17,
5. Ibrahim Marei, 17,
6. Siam, 18, and
7. Wael Abu Lafi, 24.
Israeli police also abducted the young man, Muhammad Siaj, 23, from the vicinity of Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood.
In related news, Israeli soldiers assaulted a young man and his parents in their home in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, on Friday evening.
Soldiers stormed the home of Mahmoud Abu Markhiya, 31, with the intention of abducting him, and assaulted him in his home.
It was added that his mother and father tried to stop the soldiers from beating their son, so they assaulted them too.
Medical crews with the Palestinian Red Crescent society (PRCS) said they transported one person to the Hebron Governmental Hospital after being assaulted by Israeli forces.
It is unclear who was transported to hospital, or whether or not soldiers abducted the young man.
