[Haifa] July 23, 2023 (WAFA) – Today, Sunday, settlers attempted to storm the Roman Catholic Church and Monastery of Mar Elias on Mount Carmel in Haifa.

Eyewitnesses reported that about 50 settlers, including members of the fascist “La Familia” organization, arrived at Deir Mar Elias by passenger buses, and tried to break into the church, but were confronted by a number of young men who were present in the place.

This is the second attempt within a week to storm the church and the monastery, as it was repeated last Tuesday, but the youths prevented them from carrying out the attack.
