On Saturday, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said Khader Adnan, a political prisoner held by Israel, is ongoing with hunger strike he started 28 ago, protesting his ongoing solitary confinement.

The PPS said Adnan, 44, from Arraba town south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, remained in solitary confinement at the Al-Jalama Israel prison since the soldiers abducted him from his home on February 5th.

The PPS added that Adnan also refuses to undergo medical tests despite preexisting conditions, mainly due to his repeated abductions, imprisonment without charges, and extended hunger strikes.

The Israeli Prison Authority is trying to pressure him into ending his strike and informed him that “this time he will be facing charges and is not held under Administrative Detention.”

It is worth mentioning that Adnan was abducted and imprisoned by Israeli twelve times, spending at least eight years behind bars, mostly under the arbitrary “Administrative Detention” orders without charges or trial.

The detainee is a married father of nine children (1-14 years of age) with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Economics.

In the year 2004, Adnan held a hunger strike for 25 days, followed by 66 days in the year 2012, 54 days in the year 2015, and 58 days in the year 2018.
