BETHLEHEM, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today uprooted hundreds of trees and razed Palestinian-owned lands in the village of Wadi Fukin, east of the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem, according to a local official.
Ibrahim al-Hroub, head of Wadi Fukin village council, said that a large Israeli military force raided an area to the north of the village and uprooted dozens of olive and almond trees, demolished retaining walls and an agricultural pond used for collecting rainwater, and razed around 28 dunums of agricultural land belonging to local residents in the village.
He added that the said village is subjected to ongoing violations by Israeli settlers who continuously ruin agricultural tools and greenhouses, causing severe financial losses to Palestinian locals who depend mainly on agriculture as their main source of income.
