HEBRON, March 27, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday arrested an elderly Palestinian social figure from the southern West Bank city of Hebron, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Club (PPC).

It said in a statement that a large Israeli force accompanied by a medical crew and an ambulance arrested Hussain Abu Hadeed, 60, after raiding his house while he was unconscious and chained him to a stretcher. Abu Hadeed is suffering from several heart diseases.

One of Abu Hadeed’s sons, a member of al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas military wing, was killed by Israeli soldiers in 1994 and another son has been held in administrative detention in Israel since 2010.
