On Tuesday, the Maan News Agency quoted the Israeli army claiming that an Israeli colonialist settler was injured after being stabbed in the Al-Fondoq Palestinian town east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli man, 55, went to the village for shopping before he was stabbed in the stomach and suffered moderate wounds. He was moved to an Israeli medical center.

The Israeli army claimed it “investigated the incident and decided it was an act of terrorism” because the attacker was reportedly a Palestinian who fled the scene, and the wounded man in an Israeli.

The army initiated an extensive search campaign in the area looking for the Palestinian and set up roadblocks.

According to Israeli media reports, the army managed to arrest the Palestinian, who allegedly stabbed the Israeli man, and moved him to an interrogation facility.

On Tuesday dawn, Israeli soldiers killed five Palestinians and injured twenty-one, including four who suffered life-threatening wounds, during an invasion of the center of Nablus city, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The slain Palestinians have been identified as Zahi Ahmad Baghdadi, 27, Hamdi Sbeih Ramzi Qayyim, 30, Ali Khaled Omar Antar, 26, Hamdi Mohammad Sabri Sharaf, 35, and Wadea’ Sbeih Hweih, 31.

Also Tuesday dawn, the soldiers killed Qussai Mahmoud Tamimi, 19, in Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

Israeli man stabbed in West Bank village

A 55-year-old Israeli man is wounded in a stabbing in the West Bank village of al-Funduq, medics say.

According to the Rescuers Without Borders emergency service, the man was stabbed after he exited a store in the Palestinian village. He then reached his car and drove off to a nearby junction.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service says its medics are treating the man at the nearby junction. He is listed in good-moderate condition.

There is no immediate comment from authorities regarding the background of the incident.
