On Thursday dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted at least twenty-seven Palestinians during massive invasions and violent searches of homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank, including the occupied capital, Jerusalem.
In Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, the soldiers closed all roads leading to the governorate and all intersections linking its various cities and towns amidst a tight siege and ongoing invasions.
Dozens of soldiers and illegal colonizers invaded the city, especially the eastern parts near Joseph’s Tomb, leading to massive protests before the army fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
Medical sources said the soldiers shot one Palestinian with a live round in the arm before he was rushed to a hospital in Nablus.
The Israeli army also continued its siege on Shu’fat refugee camp and Anata town, near Jerusalem, and resumed the invasions and violent searches of homes in the refugee camp and the surrounding areas.
The soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes and buildings in Shu’fat and Anata and interrogated dozens of Palestinians, in addition to occupying rooftops to use as firing posts and monitoring towers.
Furthermore, dozens of soldiers and police officers invaded Al-Isawiya, Silwan, Beit Hanina, Sur Baher, Jabal Al-Mokabber, and the neighborhoods of Wad Al-Jouz, Suwwana, and Beit Hanina, in occupied Jerusalem, leading to protests, and imposed more restrictions on the Palestinians.
Also, dozens of soldiers and paramilitary colonizers invaded several areas in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron, especially historic and Roman archeological sites and their surroundings, in Yatta and as-Sammoa’ towns, in addition to the center of Hebron city where the soldiers also broke into homes and buildings, searched them and occupied their rooftops.
