Two Palestinians were fatally shot by the Israeli military in the West Bank on Friday, including a 14-year-old, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported.
The ministry identified the two Palestinians as 14-year-old Adel Ibrahim Daoud, shot in the head near Israel's separation barrier in the town of Qalqilya, and 17-year-old Mahdi Ladadweh, who was shot in the chest by soldiers northwest of Ramallah
Palestinian witnesses say the clashes with soldiers in al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiyeh broke out as villagers were trying to stop an attack by Jewish settlers on the town.
In a widely circulated video online, Israeli soldiers appear to be attacking paramedics and others trying to evacuate Ladadwah from the scene where he was shot. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, Israeli forces wounded 50 other Palestinians in the village with live ire rubber bullets and tear gas.
In response to Daoud's death in Qalqiliya, the IDF said that soldiers identified "a suspect who threw Molotov cocktails at them. The fighters responded by shooting at the suspect. A hit has been detected. The incident is being investigated."
Dozens of Palestinians were wounded by Israeli soldiers across the West Bank on Friday, the Palestinian Red Crescent said, including 13 hit by rubber bullets in the Kfar Qaddum and another 18 wounded in the villages of Beita and Bayt Dajan near Nablus.
