Undercover Israeli soldiers assassinated, on Friday dawn, three young Palestinian men, and injured nine, after the army opened fire at a car in an ambush in Jenin city, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers infiltrate the Eastern Neighborhood of Jenin city, ambushed a Palestinian car, and fired dozens of live rounds at it, killing the three young men in it.

Medical sources at the Jenin governmental hospital have confirmed that the soldiers killed Bara’ Kamal Lahlouh, 23, from Jenin refugee camp, Yousef Nasser Salah, 23, and Laith Salah Abu Srour, 24, from Jenin city.

The soldiers fired dozens of live rounds at the car and its surrounding area, wounding ten Palestinians, one seriously after he was shot in the neck and three who suffered moderate-to-severe wounds.

Thousands of Palestinians marched carrying the corpses of the three young men and chanted for ongoing resistance until liberation and independence.

Also, Israeli sources said the soldiers abducted four young Palestinian men near Aneen village, northwest of Jenin, allegedly after they opened fire at the army.

The Israeli army claimed the soldiers chased the Palestinians and arrested them, adding that the two Palestinians carried two pistols.

Three Palestinians were killed and eight more wounded by the IDF on Friday during a raid in the eastern neighborhood of the Jenin refugee camp, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported.

According to witness testimony, the three men – Laith Abu Srur, Baraa Lahlouh and Yousef Salah – were shot while sitting in a car. Following the incident, hundreds gathered outside the Jenin hospital to which the three were taken.

The Israeli military spokesperson said that the incident began when troops from the Golani Brigade came under fire while searching for weapons in the city. Abu Srur, Lahlouh and Salah were in a nearby vehicle when they opened fire at the troops, who responded and killed the three still in the car.

A search of the vehicle after the incident revealed weapons and ammunition. The spokesperson did not confirm how many people were killed or wounded during the clash.

"This crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces comes before U.S. President Joe Biden's visit to the region," Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said in a statement, dubbing it "an attempt to evade any possibility of fostering a political horizon."

A Hamas spokesperson said, "The occupation will pay for its crimes. Jenin will remain unbreakable and will continue its resistance of the occupation."

In its own statement, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad said, "We say goodbye to three heroes who continued on the path of jihad against the occupation, Israeli aggression will not break the Palestinian people who will continue in the struggle against the occupation and its crimes."

Following a wave of terror attacks that hit Israel in the last three months, the Israeli military has conducted near daily operations in the West Bank.

The military operations, which have focused largely on Jenin and nearby villages, have left over 30 Palestinians killed, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Earlier this month two Palestinians were killed within 24 hours during clashes with the Israeli military in two separate incidents in the West Bank. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry Ayman Mahisan, 29, was shot dead by Israeli forces during clashes at the Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem. The day prior, Bilal Awad Qabha was shot dead in Ya'bad, and another Palestinian was critically wounded.
