BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained 11 people in the West Bank overnight Wednesday, the army said.
Five people were detained in Ramallah, four in Dhahiriya, Hebron, and two in Azzun, Qalqiliya. All those arrested were taken for security questioning, an Israeli army spokesman said.
Witnesses told Ma'an that a woman was also detained in Hebron on Thursday. Locals said that soldiers arrested a woman in al-Shuhada street after accusing her of attacking a soldier at a checkpoint.
An Israeli army spokesman said that a woman was caught with a 10cm knife and arrested. She was transferred to Israeli police custody.

Mother with Baby Arrested while Crossing Checkpoint in Hebron
HEBRON, March 15, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers manning a checkpoint at Shuhada street, in the old city of Hebron, Thursday arrested a 28-year-old Palestinian woman when she tried to cross the checkpoint with her three-year-old child claiming she tried to attack the soldiers, according to local sources.
They said the mother, Inas Ghanim, had to give her baby to one of her neighbors who happened to be passing by the checkpoint at the time.
She was taken to a police station in a nearby settlement.
Soldiers normally harass Palestinians at the checkpoints around Hebron’s old city, forcing confrontations with them.

RAMALLAH, March 15 2012, (WAFA) – Israeli forces arrested on Thursday five Palestinians after raiding their homes in the Qalqilya and Hebron areas of the West Bank, according to local and security sources.
They said Israeli forces arrested two Palestinians from the town of Azzoun, east of Qalqilya after raiding their homes and beating them.
Witnesses said soldiers forced the two men to completely take off their clothes.
Forces also arrested three Palestinians from the town of Dhahrieh, south of Hebron, and raided several houses in the area.
