An armed illegal Israeli settler shot and injured, on Friday, four Palestinian civilians, one seriously, in the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron, the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) reported.

According to witnesses, the illegal colonist opened fire with live rounds towards Palestinians on Shuhada Street in the center of Hebron, injuring four, including three children.

They added that the Palestinian youths were wounded when they were in the vicinity of the illegal Beit Romano colony, when the settler opened fire at them, injuring four, one of whom was deemed serious.

A 13-year-old, identified as Mohammad Iyad Jaabari was seriously wounded after being shot with a live round in the abdomen, he was transferred to hospital and admitted for emergency surgery.

Additionally two of the civilians sustained live bullet wounds in the thigh, while the final injury sustained a bullet wound to the hand.

A 13-year-old Palestinian was shot and seriously wounded during clashes with the Israeli army in Hebron, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Friday.

According to the ministry, three more Palestinians, aged 14, 15, 21, were wounded by live fire. All four were taken to a hospital in Hebron.

As Friday prayers concluded, Palestinians began clashing with Israeli soldiers in protest of a military post set up in the center of Hebron, according to Palestinian media. It was also reported that dozens sustained light injuries from inhaling tear gas.

Meanwhile, 128 Palestinians were injured lightly in clashes with the Israeli army in Beita and Beit Dajan in the West Bank during weekly protests against the evacuated outpost of Evyatar, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

A full 36 were hit by rubber-tipped bullets and the rest suffered light injuries from inhaling tear gas. They were all treated at the scene and did not require further medical attention.

Earlier this week, a 19-year-old college student was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers near Bethlehem. Amar Shafiq Abu Afifa and a friend were strolling in a forest near his home when he was killed, the friend told B’Tselem’s investigator two days after the incident.

Last week, Israeli military forces also shot a 14-year-old Palestinian boy dead near Bethlehem. The Israeli military said in a statement that the teen, Mohammed Shehadeh, was throwing a Molotov cocktail before being shot by soldiers in the West Bank town of al-Khader.
