Israeli sources have reported, Wednesday, that a woman was injured reportedly after a Palestinian teenage girl stabbed her in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in occupied Jerusalem.
The injured woman is a colonialist settler living in the Palestinian neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, where the Palestinians are facing displacement due to the ongoing Israeli colonialist activities.
Israeli sources said the injured woman suffered mild injuries before she was taken to Hadassah medical center in Jerusalem and added that the woman was with her two children, who were unharmed.
The injured woman remained conscious, and her condition has been described as stable.
The Israeli police and the army said they invaded a girls’ school in Sheikh Jarrah and arrested a girl who is suspected of being behind the stabbing.
It is worth mentioning that the army violently searched and ransacked the school, before abducting the girl, in addition to two siblings, a teacher, and the principal.
The soldiers also imposed a tight siege on Sheikh Jarrah, preventing the Palestinians from entering or leaving the neighborhood, in addition to attacking many Palestinians, cars, and buses, while military choppers flew overhead.
The soldiers also invaded and searched many schools and alleys in Sheikh Jarrah.
In Sheikh Jarrah, eight families of nineteen households of 87 Palestinians, are at imminent risk of forcible transfer, due to the separate case filed against them before Israeli courts by the settler organization Nahalat Shimon International. Alarmingly, Nahalat Shimon International has previously evicted three Palestinian families of around 67 Palestinians from the neighborhood in 2008 and 2009.

An Israeli woman was lightly wounded Wednesday in a stabbing attack in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
Police apprehended a 14-year-old Palestinian teen, Nofoud Jad Araf Hamad, from the neighborhood. She is suspected of stabbing the 26-year-old Israeli woman with a knife while she was crossing the street with her daughter.
Hamad fled the scene after the attack and was found about an hour later at the nearby Al-Rawdah girls' school. The stabbing victim was taken to Hadassah University Hospital at Mount Scopus in Jerusalem.
Hamad's family is among those in Sheikh Jarrah who have immediate eviction orders pending against them; her grandfather is a prominent activist against the evictions. Before the teenager was apprehended, a large number of police officers, aided by a police helicopter, searched the area for the suspect.
Also taken into custody were the school’s principal, another staff member and another student who is related to Hamad. Police raided Hamad's home and arrested her mother as well.
The eviction action was filed by a Jewish organization in 2020 and 2021 that has asserted ownership rights to a number of homes in the neighborhood based on Jewish ownership there prior to Israel’s establishment.
The Sheikh Jarrah case, which is currently pending before the Israeli Supreme Court, has been a major source of tension, and has attracted international attention. The Supreme Court has attempted to settle the case, but a group of residents has opposed the terms proposed by the court.
