On Thursday, Israeli soldiers poured fortified cement into a Palestinian water spring near Beit Ummar town, north of the northern West Bank city of Hebron.

Local sources said the soldiers, accompanied by trucks invaded the ath-Thaghra area and poured the cement onto the spring to permanently close it.

They added that the spring was in the ath-Thaghra area, east of Beit Ummar, in lands privately owned by two local farmers, identified as Mohammad Abu Ayyash and Bassam ‘Aadi.

The attack is a serious violation targeting the Palestinians, their lands, and natural resources, and aims at denying the Palestinians access to water unless they buy it from Israeli corporations, illegally operating in the occupied Palestinian territory.
