Description
HEBRON (Ma’an) – Israeli forces raided the Beit Ummar and al-Tabaqa villages near Hebron overnight, detaining six locals, among them an injured youth who had been hurt during clashes three days earlier.

Locals and security sources reported that a large Israeli force raided Beit Ummar and detained Yousef al-Alami, Nasim al-Alami, Muhammad al-Alami, Hasan al-Alami and Mahmoud al-Alami.

In al-Tabaka, Israeli troops detained Ibrahim Khaled Amro and the injured youth, Muhammad Mteir.

Muhammad’s father told Ma’an that the troops raided their house at dawn and detained his son, who is still suffering from a head injury sustained during clashes with troops in the village.

He condemned the arrest and said Israel was responsible for his safety.

An Israeli army spokesman said 20 Palestinians were arrested overnight.

They included two from Haris, one from Kifl Haris, and two from Deir Istiya near Qalqiliya; three from Nablus; five from Beit Ummar and four from Khursa near Hebron as well as one from the city itself; and two from Aqbat Jaber near Jericho.

He also said soldiers found an assault rifle in a home in Beit Furik, near Nablus.
