Israeli soldiers shot, Friday, a Palestinian child with a rubber-coated steel bullet and caused dozens of Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.
Morad Eshteiwi, the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Kufur Qaddoum, said the soldiers shot a child, 11 years of age, with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the leg.
He added that the soldiers also fired gas bombs and concussion grenades, causing scores of Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The procession started from the center of the village, before the residents marched while chanting for the liberation of Palestine, and against the ongoing illegal Israeli occupation, its escalating violations, and colonialist activities, in Qalqilia and across occupied Palestine.
The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road which was blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers, driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony, which was built on stolen Palestinian lands.
