RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained three young men from the village of Bilin on Wednesday evening, local officials said.

The popular committee against the separation wall said soldiers detained Humoud Ala Samarah, 16, Samih Khatib, 16, and Basel Raed, 17, while they were walking near the separation wall in the village.

They were taken to Binyamin police station in the Ramallah area.

Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
